Al igual que Totally Spies y Team Galaxy, Martin Mystery es una serie de animación franco-canadiense producida por la compañía Marathon.
La serie animada reinventa al personaje de un cómic titulado Martin Mystery, quien junto con su hermanastra (el padre de él se casó con la madre de ella) Diana Lombard, son estudiantes de la Academia Torrington, un instituto en Sherbrooke,Quebec. Trabajan para una organización secreta, el Centro, que protege secretamente a la gente de la tierra contra amenazas extraterrestres y sobrenaturales. No todos los que trabajan para la organización son humanos. El pequeño y verde Billy es uno de los mejores amigos de Martin. Java trabaja en la cafetería de la escuela de Diana y Martin y es un hombre de las cavernas de hace 200.000 años. En lo que concierne a el Centro, el conocimiento extenso de Martin, y su intuición sobrenatural, compensan su falta de higiene personal y su ego enorme. Diana resiente estas cualidades ocasionalmente, pues Martin no parece darse cuenta de la seriedad de sus misiones, pero lo quiere como si fuera su hermano verdadero.

Personajes:
Martin Mystery
Martín es justo como cualquier joven de 16 años, y tiene una pasión salvaje por lo paranormal. Después de solucionar involuntariamente un gran misterio, fue reclutado por el Centro. Ya sea en la escuela o en una misión, él sigue siendo siempre el mismo adolescente inmaduro y lleno de energía. Él piensa raramente antes de ponerse en peligro, a menudo para ayudar a alguien. Java el cavernicola
Java es un cavernícola de 200.000 años, amigo de Martin y Diana que trabaja en Torrington como un cocinero y conserje. M.O.M.
Como la directora del Centro, ella supervisa la investigación de actividades paranormales a través del mundo; Martín es uno de sus agentes favoritos. Billy
Un pequeño alien verde que trabaja para el Centro como el secretario personal de MOM. Su papel es generalmente de apoyo; aparece de la nada en cualquier momento durante una misión, ya sea para dar información valiosa, o hacer análisis de limo o tela enviados por Martin. En la segunda temporada, Billy fue revelado como un terrible guerrero extraterrestre conocido como Ganthar, el cual dejo atras la violencia; razón por la cual nunca acompaña a los otros tres agentes. Marvin

Jenny Anderson
Ella es el amor no correspondido de Martin; para Jenny siempre ha sido un inmaduro, raro y perdedor adolescente. Es una de las jóvenes más bellas de Torrington. Aunque Jenny ve generalmente a Martin como “palo de golf”, ha habido realmente las épocas donde ella está interesada y persigue una relación en él. Desafortunadamente para Martin, nunca dura porque borran su mente, o porque Mystery lo echa a perder. Gerald Mystery

Caitlin

001 It Came From The Bog
When children start mysteriously disappearing from a small town in England, Martin, Diana and Java are sent in to investigate. They find that a mythical “Boogey Man,” a creature bent on punishing “naughty” children, was inadvertently released from the pages of an ancient story book. They must stop the monster before it steals all the children of the town and takes them back into the book... forever. This is easier said than done because not only does the Boogey Man only come out at night, he has the ability to shape-shift and disappear. In a b-story, Martin tries to stay clean and prove to Diana that he isn’t a slob.

002 Terror From The Sky
Martin, Diana, and Java are sent to investigate reports of giant insects terrorizing a town in the Nevada desert. Their investigation leads them to the source of the problem – a radioactive meteorite which is reanimating the fossils of giant, ancient deadly bugs. Martin and Diana must figure out a way to exterminate the insects before they infest the world (think of the slimy bugs from “Starship Troopers”). In a b-story, Martin tries to keep the lipstick mark that Jenni left on his cheek from washing off and he tries to keep from being distracted by Sadie, a pretty young waitress whose father’s been abducted by the insects.

003 Shriek From Beyond
When a fishing vessel off the coast of Norway crashes into an iceberg, a mythological Siren is released from her ice prison. The Siren makes her way into the modern world and, in an attempt to get revenge on Rolf, the man who broke her heart and left her in the ice fifty years ago, spreads chaos and destruction. Since Martin and Java (and all men for that matter) are effected by the Siren’s womanly wailing, Diana must find a way to stop her with very little help. In a b-story, Diana is sick and tired of having to “baby-sit” Martin and wishes he would take care of himself for once.

004 The Creeping Slime
When an oil company is doing exploratory drilling off the coast of a remote island, they accidentally unleash the “Black Devil” -- a slimy blob of viscous evil that consumes them. Martin, Diana and Java are sent to the island to locate the missing oil team. They find out from the island’s natives that the Black Devil feeds off the energy human prey, getting bigger and bigger until ultimately it’s unstoppable. Martin and Diana trace the creature’s origins to an evil shaman who has summoned the creature with a mystical amulet. It’s up to Martin and Diana to stop the shaman and the creature before it digests the entire island. In a b-story, Martin is determined to turn Java into the ultimate “ladies’ man.”

005 Curse Of The Deep
An ancient treasure chest is unearthed from the bottom of the sea off the coast of Monte Carlo. The good news is, it’s full of gold bullion. The bad news is, removing the chest from the murky waters has awakened The Leviathan -- the giant sea monster whose job it is to protect the treasure. Martin, Diana and Java are sent in to investigate encounters with the creature by the area’s rich and famous (it has flipped over a yacht, terrified swimmers, etc.). MD&J finally come face to face with the creature and Diana ends up being swallowed whole! Martin (and Java) must, literally, journey into the belly of the beast and save Diana before it’s too late (they also have to return the gold). In a b-story, Martin accuses Diana of being too uptight and she tries, desperately and unsuccessfully, to prove that she’s easy-going and “fun.”

006 Nightmare Of The Coven
At an all-girls boarding school, some students are messing around with a ouija board and they unknowingly summon an ancient witch. When strange things start happening at the school, MD&J are sent to investigate. Diana goes undercover as a student and finds that the witch, who is posing as the new principal, is trying to take over the school. Her goal: to turn the girls into her coven. It turns out the school is actually an old gothic building with a hidden dungeon where the witch was originally banished some 200 years ago. It’s up to Martin and Java to stop the witch (who has now turned Diana into one of her minions). In a b-story, Diana challenges Martin to stop flirting with girls – pretty hard at a girls-only school!

007 In Came From Inside The Box
MD&J are sent to investigate weird goings-on in a “Twin Peaks”-like town. Upon arriving, they find all manner of things strange – a single house demolished by a twister (though there have been no storms in the area); a whirling saw blade of death; a strange phenomenon where all roads out of town lead back into town; and Wilbur, a boy-turned-goat. Their investigation leads them to an ancient box in the local antique store. MD&J realize that the box is actually a Pandora-like box and the source of all the town’s chaos. In order to stop the pandemonium, they must enter another dimension – a dimension inhabited by a legendary chaos demon. In a b-story, Martin is determined to prove to Diana that he isn’t afraid of anything – which proves to be a difficult task amidst all the bedlam.

008 Snow Blind
A snow creature in the Swiss Alps terrorizes vacationers at a mountain resort and MD&J are sent to investigate. Upon arriving they see first hand how the beast strikes from beneath the snow. MD&J have to climb the mountain and confront the ancient beast in its lair. In a b-story, Diana deals with the fact that she isn't exactly athletic.

009 Mark Of The Shape-Shifter
When land developers start to destroy an Indian burial ground, the workers suddenly start to go missing. MD&J are sent in to investigate. It turns out that local Native Americans who are angered have been using ancient “medicine” to shape-shift into werewolves in order to stop the developers. MD&J try to stop the beasts from terrorizing everyone, but their task is made more complicated when they are bitten and banished to a mystical spirit world. In a b-story, Martin, in his eternal quest to meet girls, gets hold of a book of "one-liners" and tries them out with mixed results.

010 Attack Of The Sandman
MD&J are sent to investigate a strange phenomenon at a posh university in Sydney, Australia where students are falling asleep and not waking up. Upon arriving on campus, MD&J realize that Dr. Hanlon, a Professor doing experimental sleep research, has unwittingly unleashed the Sandman – a mythical creature who traps sleeping people in his nightmare world, forcing them to relive their worst fears over and over and over again! In order to stop him, MD&J must journey into the nightmare world and confront their own fears. In a b-story, Diana tries to give up sugar -- her secret weapon against fatigue.

011 Mystery Of The Vanishing
When an entire train disappears from a newly re-opened subway station in Boston, MD&J are sent in to investigate. What they discover is that the train has gone through a space-time portal and ended up in a paradise world – a paradise world inhabited by a seemingly perfect 1960s family named the Applebys. They eventually realize that the Applebys are the original passengers from Eloise, another train that went missing from the same station many years ago. The Applebys have brokered a deal with Zook, an evil “lava monster” that feeds off the life-force of humans. If the Applebys keep Zook happy by “feeding him,” he’ll leave them alone. MD&J must avoid being “sacrificed” and safely return themselves (as well as the missing train passengers) to the present. In a b-story, Diana thinks she’s found Mr. Right – a perfect new student named Hunter Barrington.

012 The Book of the Dead
An archaeologist who is digging for ancient Peruvian relics in the Nasca Lines region of that country accidentally opens a portal to an underworld – unleashing an ancient civilization of aliens who have been living in the Earth’s core. When MD&J investigate, they are seized by the aliens who now plan on eliminating humans and taking over the planet. In a b-story, Martin is determined to “modernize” Java.

013 The Sewer Thing
When strange and terrifying things start happening to people in Washington, DC -- MD&J are sent in to investigate. What they discover is a hideous creature living in the city’s sewers. Much to their shock and dismay, they learn that the creature used to be a regular man – a janitor at a top-secret genetics laboratory – until he accidentally became “infected” by one of the experiments and became a half-man, half-rat. Now, because of his grotesque mutation, he’s bent on revenge and must be stopped (or helped). In a b-story, Diana finds out that her application has been rejected from an on-campus sorority because of concerns that she “may not be a very tolerant person.” In order to prove that she is tolerant and a worthy sorority candidate, she is instructed to be nice to Martin.

014 The Vampire Returns
Martin, Diana and Java are sent to Paris to investigate a rash of strange disturbances. MD&J find out that they are actually on the trail of an ancient female vampire who is the sole remaining member of her vampire clan. When the vampire attacks Martin, she finds that he is the only suitable partner for her to rebuild her clan. In a b-story, when Martin is rejected by a girl who doesn’t date “dumb guys,” he tries to revamp his image by giving the superficial appearance that he is smart. In the end, the girl sees through his feeble façade.

015 Haunting Of The Blackwater
At the re-opening of a snowy, mountain lodge near Mt. Hood, Oregon, (think “The Shining”) a framed photograph is accidentally knocked off of a wall. It breaks, and the spirit of its deceased subject, the man who used to run the lodge, is released. Soon, the lodge is riddled with reports of eerie hauntings and the terrified guests flee. The Center sends Martin, Diana and Java in to investigate, and what they find is a terrorizing ghost determined to take back what is rightfully his. When the ghost decides to possess Diana, Java and Diana find themselves in a predicament – they have to save Diana and vanquish the evil spirit. In a b-story, Diana is determined to prove that she’s “Tuff Enuff.”

016 Beast From Within
When a weird, slimy monster at a Center prison facility escapes captivity, Martin, Diana and Java are sent to investigate. When they get to the prison, however, they find absolutely no trace of the creature – so M.O.M. sends them home, telling them she will keep them posted. Back at school, strange things start happening – all involving Martin. Eventually, Diana and Java realize that the weird creature from the prison crawled inside his body in an attempt to make Martin its permanent host. The situation is having a disturbing Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde effect on Martin. If Diana and Java can’t stop the creature – Martin as they know him will cease to exist! In a b-story, Martin finally convinces Jenni to give him a chance and go on one date with him.

017 Halloween Special
When a young woman discovers an ancient Celtic necklace in a costume shop in Ireland, strange things begin to happen (could it have anything to do with the fact that it’s Halloween?) M.O.M. sends Martin, Diana and Java in to investigate. What they uncover is the legend of Carlin, the Celtic spirit of the eve of Samhain. (Carlin has hideous blue skin, can transform into a raven and uses a “cold wind” to keep people apart and destroy things.) They figure out that, via the necklace from the costume shop, she has inhabited the young woman in order to achieve her goal: to open the door between Earth and the “Otherworld.” By giving out evil trick or treat candy, she will cause people to literally become their costumes – they’ll be stuck that way forever and she will be their ruler! When Martin falls prey to the evil candy, Diana, Java and Billy must stop Carlin and save him before the sun rises on November 1st. In a b-story, MD&J prepare for a costume party at Torrington.

018 Summer Camp Nightmare
Psyched about going on summer vacation, MD&J are bummed when they are sent on a last minute mission. They go undercover as C.I.T.s to investigate weird occurrences at a summer camp. It turns out an alien being has appeared (as he does every 1000 years) and is feeding off the life force of the kids at the camp. It’s up to MD&J to save them. In a B-story, MD&J try to make the best of their situation and have a summer vacation while on their mission.

019 Return Of The Dark Druid
When a local constable reports the entire town of Dubhcrann, Scotland missing, Martin, Diana and Java are sent in to investigate. What they uncover is the story of The Dark Druid – an evil magic-man bent on getting revenge against a town that used his own powers against him... turning him into a tree several hundred years ago! Recently freed from his prison of leaves and bark, the Druid has possessed a local teen named Cameron. Once he turns ninety-nine souls into trees, he’ll be able to rise again and become all-powerful. Martin and Diana must stop him and save Java, Cameron, and the missing townspeople. In a b-story, Martin and Diana compete in the annual Torrington Talent Competition – each trying to out-do one another with utterly ridiculous feats.

020 Horror Of The Caveman
When MD&J are sent to investigate the appearance of a ghost in an office building, they find that the ghost is a hoax perpetrated by a rouge ex-Center agent who wanted to lure Java there to abduct him. After altering Java’s DNA, the agent uses the now superhuman Java to infiltrate the tomb of a middle eastern king. It’s up to Martin, Diana and Billy to save Java. In a b-story MD&J’s art class paintings are mistaken for painting created by animals.

021 The Doppelganger
Martin, Diana and Java are sent to Montreal to investigate reports of women whose faces have been stolen. What they discover is that these women were all attacked by the evil doppelganger of a local woman named Michelle. In attempt to free herself from her spiritual twin, a twin that became much too attached and domineering, Michelle exorcised herself from it. The only problem is, the doppelganger didn’t want to be exorcised. Consequently, in a desperate desire to be reunited with its “owner,” it is attacking anyone who looks like her... Diana included! In a b-story, Martin is asked to enter a modeling contest for the Torrington Academy Student Calendar.

022 The Djini
When an evil, ancient genie turns up at a museum and mutates several people, MD&J follow the genie back to his origins at an Asian palace. The genie is bent on revenge against the sole surviving member of a royal family that used the genie to gain wealth and then sealed her in her “magic lamp.” In a b-story Martin tries to throw the best theme party ever to impress Jenni.

023 Sticky Java
Pilot episode. Martin and Diana are sent to New York to investigate a strange phenomenon where prehistoric creatures are appearing all over the city. They are teamed up with Java (who happens to be one of the occurring phenomenon) for the first time and find that a mad scientist, with the help of a magical geode, has been recreating a Jurassic world. It’s up to Martin, Diana and their new sidekick Java to stop the madman before New York and the world is overrun with prehistoric creatures. In a b-story, Martin is caught sabotaging a science test and he and Diana get detention.

024 Army Of The Night
When statues in China start coming to life, MD&J are sent to investigate. They find that a servant of a long dead leader of an ancient dynasty is attempting to reanimate the leader and his army of soldiers in an effort to revive the dynasty. When Diana is turned into a statue, it’s up to Martin and Java to save her and stop the servant. In a b-story Diana, Java and the Center plan a huge retaliation for prankster Martin.

025 The Snow Globe
It’s Christmas time at bustling Torrington Academy and Martin and Diana are totally thrilled! Diana has an entire week of festivities scheduled, while Martin is looking forward to having a week of spontaneous holiday fun. Of course, their different agendas clash and they have a big blowout – agreeing on one thing: they can’t wait to spend time away from each other! Unfortunately, M.O.M. sends them on a mission at the last minute – a mission that has them looking for missing motorists on a remote road in New Hampshire. As luck would have it, Martin and Diana wind up missing themselves – when they’re sucked into an evil, snow-globe world! They discover that Clifford, a lonely man desiring a perfect, eternal X-Mas, broke a magic snow globe... causing its contents to be released and come to life. Martin and Diana, with the help of Billy and Java (who are nearby on an ice-fishing trip) must force the contents back into the globe – before they’re trapped there forever. In a b-story, Martin and Diana overcome their desire to be apart and decide that they actually enjoy being together. At least until the mission’s over.

026 You Do Voodoo
Martin, Diana and Java are sent to the Louisiana bayou to investigate the bizarre attack on a person by an unseen force. After a bit of investigation, they uncover a corrupt politician who’s using the power of “Voodoo Dolls” to eliminate his competition. His ultimate goal? To win the political race and end up in the mayor’s office – an office that just happens to be located the on the consecrated grounds of the black arts. Once he harnesses the power of the hallowed soil (by digging up an ancient artifact hidden below the floor), he will become a forceful voodoo priest – and will be unstoppable! In a b-story, Diana drastically changes her image/physical appearance in order to prove that she isn’t a “goody two-shoes.”

027 Invaders: Part I
MD&J investigate a bizarre phenomenon where people are waking up to find that they are inexplicably missing minor body parts (a single tooth; a couple of toenails; patches of hair, etc.). As MD&J investigate further, they find a link among the people -- they all work at places that use, in one form or another, radioactive material. When Billy is looped into the investigation, he tells MD&J that this sounds an awful lot like something that once happened on his home planet: rouge aliens, whose energy and scary powers came from the consumption of radioactive material, used his peoples’ DNA to integrate themselves into society. From there, they began to destroy his planet and drain it of its resources. Luckily, they were caught and imprisoned. Even though Martin thinks the likelihood of this scenario happening on Earth is remote at best, we see that the aliens (three of them) have, indeed, arrived on this planet and taken on a human form. Billy joins MD&J on their mission and they eventually have a showdown with the aliens – stopping them before they are able to consume the radioactive material and gain power. The Center thinks that they’ve locked all three aliens up but soon realize that, not only has one escaped, but it has also taken Billy!

028 Invaders: Part II
The rouge alien contacts the Center and wants to do an exchange -- his two alien friends for Billy. MD&J & M.O.M. have a plan to rig the exchange so they can get Billy back safely and trap the other alien. The tides are turned on them, however, and they lose Billy and the two imprisoned aliens. The three aliens, now back together, are able to consume the radioactive material and gain even more power. They begin their plan of draining the Earth of its resources (they even contact a mother ship which hovers nearby). As MD&J try to save Billy, they find out a plethora of information about him – most importantly, that he used to be one of the evil, rogue aliens! Ultimately, thanks to Billy, the aliens are defeated and the Earth is saved. In a b-story, Martin, Diana and Java try to figure out what to get Billy for his birthday. Difficult when they realize that they don’t really know him all that well.

029 Zombie Island
MD&J are sent to a Caribbean resort where people have gone missing. They find that the resort is actually run by shape shifting zombies who are sacrificing the vacationers to a bizarre sea creature called Hexan. It’s up to MD&J to stop the zombies and defeat Hexan before it wipes out the island. In a b-story, Diana is convinced she’s seen a UFO but Martin is very skeptical.

030 Martin’s Dad
When Martin’s Dad, an archaeologist/anthropologist/zoologist type, calls to say that he’s in the area doing research, Martin and Diana take some time off from their work at the Center and join him for a weekend in the woods. They quickly uncover a “Synth” -- a synthetic creature formed between human and alien -- that’s hell-bent on reclaiming its territory from local loggers. So much for a relaxing weekend. Can they find the monster and save their father, the local loggers and themselves, before it’s too late? In a b-story, Martin deals with his Dad always treating him like a child... as well as their differing approaches to research.

031 Mothman
MD&J investigate a missing faculty member and student at a university, only to find that the school did a weird experiment on the student -- turning him into a human-moth beast. MD&J must track the creature to it’s lair and stop it from feasting on everyone it comes into contact with. In a b-story, a new kid a school, Marvin, takes the spotlight away from a very jealous Martin.

032 The Amazon Vapor
When various plants and animals wash up on the shores of the Amazon River, Martin, and Diana are sent in to investigate (Java sits this mission out after being hit in the head with a malfunctioning door at the Center). What they uncover is, due to digging by a nearby hydro-electric company, a strange green mist has been released... the Amazon Vapor! After a bit of investigation, the realize that the Vapor is an ancient bacteria – and the only way to stop it is to follow the rules of science. With a little mold and a little ingenuity, they’re able to stop the creature before it deprives the world of its oxygen supply. Sounds easy enough – except that Marvin, Martin’s nemesis, is along for the entire mission!!! In a b-story, Martin must try and keep his secret identity secret and deal with major jealousy issues.

033 The Seer
When a girl at a school for the blind does an ancient ritual which restores her sight, she sprouts a third eye and develops strange urges to exact revenge on those who’ve wronged her. MD&J are sent to investigate only to find themselves the targets of the girl’s ire. With the help of Marvin, MD&J are able to stop the girl before a consecration ceremony that will unleash even more evil. In a b-story Marvin is made a full-time Center agent much to Martin’s chagrin.

034 Monster Movie Mayhem
When M.O.M. informs Martin and Diana of an attack on their home turf, they are instantly intrigued. Especially when they find out that various monsters (one from a local drive-in movie screen, one from the pages of a comic book) have come to life! After a little investigation, they uncover an ancient shaman’s curse – a curse that harnesses the power of the “full moon at perigee” (the time when, every five-hundred years or so, the moon is full at the same moment its orbit brings it closest to the Earth and, consequently, it’s at its brightest) to give the monsters life. Unfortunately, one of these monsters is Java – he just happened to be wearing a Swamp Zombie costume (for a movie that Martin’s shooting) when the evil moonlight hit him. In a b-story, Diana attempts to come up with a winning entry for the Torrington Health Science fair.

035 Attack Of The Slime People
MD&J investigate a small western town who’s entire population seems to have disappeared over night. Suddenly, the people return to the town, but they all seem a little different. MD&J discover the people are actually slime-filled replicants created by a weird meteorite that hit the town 50 years ago. MD&J must stop the replicants from taking over their bodies and save the real townspeople. In a b-story, MD&J think that Java is creating imaginary friends, but they find out he’s actually practicing for his upcoming sock puppet theater performance.

036 The Lost Tribe
When a research team from the Center goes missing in the hot Sahara desert, Martin, Diana and Java are sent to find them. They soon discover what the research team was looking for – the ancient city of Alpha-Omega and its 4.5 million year old inhabitants! Unfortunately, MD&J also discover that the ancient creatures, who have lived peacefully in their hidden city since the beginning of time, are preparing to take back the Earth and control it! Diana, who, due to an unfortunate hair-dying mishap in the b-story, is mistaken for an ancient Alpha-Omegan goddess. Her coming was the “sign” the creatures have been waiting for. Can she stop the baddies and return her head to normal before it’s too late?

037 The Borrower
MD&J are sent to the arctic the investigate a Center outpost that has broken contact with M.O.M. When they arrive, they find that the agents there unleashed a parasitic creature that takes over the human host it invades. What’s more, Martin discovers that the agent stationed there is none other than his nemesis, Marvin. The agents must work together to destroy the parasite before it invades their bodies. In a b-story M.O.M. develops a shocking device to teach Martin to keep his hands off other peoples’ things.

038 Clip Show
When the Boogey Man (from Episode #001) escapes from the Center Containment Facility and begins to wreck havoc on the Center, Martin, Diana and Java are called in to stop him. Only problem is, MD&J are all the victims of a strange sickness. Not only can they not go on a mission, they can’t even get out of bed! M.O.M. and Billy, concerned, bring them to the Center for a series of tests. In the meantime, MD&J begin to suspect that their illness is life-threatening... and they think that the Center is going to eliminate them as a result! Can MD&J escape the Center before M.O.M. and Billy catch them?

039 Gateway To The Underworld: Part I
When M.O.M. ceases to return from her Jamaican vacation, Billy calls in MD&J to investigate (despite the fact that Martin has been temporarily suspended from the Center). In a “Lord Of The Rings” type journey through the Tibetan wilderness, MD&J uncover what M.O.M. was really up to – she was on a secret mission to unlock the Gateway To The Underworld!!! Her intention was to destroy it, but instead it turned her evil. A fact that MD&J uncover a little too late. Can our heroes stop evil M.O.M. before she destroys the world? In a b-story, Martin and Diana argue about who’s smarter – a result of them getting the exact same score on their college aptitude tests.

040 Gateway To The Underworld: Part II
MD&J race against the clock to defeat the evil M.O.M. has unwittingly released before it permanently takes over. They are able to turn M.O.M. back to her old self and MD&J team up with her and Billy to send the creatures back to the underworld from whence they came. In the b-story, Martin discovers he misread the scores to his aptitude test and he is in fact much less intelligent than Diana.
